current trend of newly created social sites especially the social media onto
the internet world is now a vogue that can be termed digital phenomenon. On a
regularly occasional basis, the impetus of introducing new social sites
especially the online dating sites, is now a relative concern to many internet
users who now considered the trend as a somewhat ‘internet users exploitation.’
Before the advent of the internet
pervasion, people used to indulge in social interaction through the newspaper
magazine column known as Pen Pals. In those days, people names were usually
published on the different magazines that entertained Pen Pals as advert to
readers, who wished to engage in new friendship or relationship with distant
friends. The interested parties who were the readers of such magazines would
write a letter to a particular friend of their choice as displayed, expressing
their friendship intention, through the published address. When such published
personality replied the writer through the address as stated him/her, that
signified acceptance and a distant relationship had commenced via letter
sharing. This avenue could translate to the situation where the pen pals could
meet physically to express their friendship. It was a primitive situation in
those days as the availability of telephone rendered the communication of
distant friends futile. Unlike what is obtainable today in the current trend of
online dating when the male date seeker attention is targeted on the female
counterpart, the pen pals era was mostly about a male friendship seeker seeking
the friendship of other fellow males who were from a distant location. It was
not particular about dating as we now have in the current trend of online

are not securely monitored.
The trend of chat media such
as WhatsApp, BBM, Viber etc, is on the zest and are aiding some indecency
allowing social sites to achieve their aim. Many people are discovered to always
use the social sites/media as a hook up channel and thereafter, invite their
partners to continue their interactions via the chat media. It is now common to
note that many fun seekers do display their WhatsApp numbers or BBM pin on
social media as Badoo, Eskimi, Flirchi etc, so that intending patronisers may use
