                                                   Blood Group Schedule

Many people are ignorant of their blood group even in this glamorous 21st century when the impetuous technological advancement has transformed the world into a global village. It is still archaic to imagine that someone of this generation would be comfortably living in solace without the knowledge of which blood group they belong.

Aside the ignorance of knowing which blood group someone belongs, it is obvious that even those that know their blood group do not know who can be their donors in the situation of imminent blood transfusion; or who themselves can as well donate blood to.

It has been a common knowledge that Blood Group O+ is a general donor, but a close look at the schedule above reveals that this fact is partially incorrect. The people in the group of O- are considered to be the authentic 'general donors' as can be seen from the Blood Group Schedule.

What is amiss here is that since people with O+ can donate to all people with the positive sign, i.e. A+, B+, AB+ O+, it's now a general credence that they have relatively captured all the common blood group without the consideration of the groups with the negative sign. Therefore they are termed general donors. But in reality, only the people with Blood Group O- are supposed to be titled in that appellation.

On the blood recipient side, the schedule reveals that only AB+ can receive blood from any group. This is again contrary to the general belief that O+ can give or receive blood from anyone. Therefore, it is very important we have the knowledge of this medical notion so as to avoid oversight in the case such need as blood transfusion arises. The table above actually clears our misconception and misinformation about blood group medical status and notion.
