I Didn't Get $350k From Anybody - Tayo Faniran
Big Brother Africa Nigerian finalist Tayo Faniran has denied receiving any $350,000 from Warri Billionaire Ayiri Emani after coming as first runers-up in the just concluded BBA Hotshot 2014.
The rumour began earlier last week and even became a trend on almost every social media without any evidence or authentication to the trend.
It was rumoured that Emani gave Tayo USD350,000 after he lost out to Idris at the 2014 BBA finale, as consolation for what all Nigerians believe as 'robbery' on Tayo. Nigerians believed that the massive votes they cast in favour of Tayo were not really credited to him but rather diverted or not recognized. It is now a credence in the mentality of Nigerians that other countries in Africa are clandestinely rebelling against Nigerian representatives at the BBA show recently. Idris, the Hotshot winner from Tanzania who went home with the USD300,000 prize is all the same considered by many Nigerians as also worthy of the prize but not at the expense of Tayo. "Tayo deserved to win...it was a fruad!..." This and many of such unsatisfactory speeches, are now the common expressions from many Nigerians since the conclusion of the BBA Hotshot.
