The swearing-in session of the new ministers was conducted in 9 batches with 4 ministers each, administering the oath of office simultaneously. In each case, the MC read out their profiles in brief and then directed them to the oath taking stand where they took their oath of office and oath of allegiance. Afterwards, they moved to the table of the President and appended their signatures.
On a brief disclosure, the federal ministries have been streamlined to 24 ministries. Some old ministries were merged while some new ones such as Ministry of Budget and National Planning, were introduced. Thus, by implications, there are now 24 ministers and 12 ministers of states.

Other ministers referred as ministers of state in some of the above ministries are listed below. It can be deduced that currently, it is not all the federal ministries that have ministers of state. Including the Ministry of Petroleum Resources where the substantial minister is the President and Ibe kachikwu, the Minister of State, there are other 11 ministries with ministers of state. They are as follows:

President has reiterated that he took much care to make sure that the right personalities were allocated the due ministries so as to encourage efficient service delivery. According to him, this was the cause of the long delay for constituting the new federal cabinet. Now, with the new ministries and their respective ministers, a new milestone has been achieved in the Nigerian political scenario and he assured that they will hit the ground running forthwith.
