The afternoon news just dropping on all the media platform that President Muhammadu Buhari has proceeded on a short vacation for a rest; and that his deputy, Prof Yemi Osinbajo will act in his absence until his return.

The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, made this known to the public on 5th February, 2016. He also announced that in accordance with Section 145 (1) of the Nigerian constitution, the President had forwarded his vacation letter to both the Senate president and the Speaker of the House of Representatives. However, the duration of his vacation is still sketching as at the time of this report.
Some unconfirmed information had been pouring in as to why the President has proceeded on an 'impromptu' vacation. Some said it is for a medical treatment which is specifically organized for the treatment of his 'prostrate cancer'. Others said he decided to dodge the burning and restless political atmosphere in effect to have a rest, reflection and decision on what next to do about the Nigerian political scenario. Whatsoever the purpose is, it is not out of order for a sitting President to engage on a vacation to have a nap.
Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo will from today assume the role of the Acting President until the return of Mr President from vacation.
